  • Property Hive gives estate agents and developers the tools they need to build and manage their property websites. The company had thrived organically but a ceiling had been reached and a new brand identity was needed to help reposition the offering and reach new audiences. To build on the success of the WordPress plugin and move towards a more varied ‘property software’ offering.

  • They were using the very successful product to promote the business

  • Products don’t lend themselves to imagery, needed to find a way to visualise the benefits

  • Need a tone of voice that sounded less-tech and more like them

  • How do you keep the ‘hive’ theme but without the bee clichés

  • A logo inspired by the ‘heart’ that Steve and Laura put into the business and the amazing relationships they have developed with their partners, clients and developers

  • Had to be a distinctive yellow and black but gave them a range of shades to work with

  • A warm yellow rather than anything too bright

  • The hexagon becomes the distinctive asset with bespoke illustrations to cover off the services and themes that they offer

  • Boxes with rounded corners, rounded icon set and a friendly-feeling serif for warmth – paired with a functional sans-serif for the details

  • Product visuals had to be created to show and explain the product in an engaging way rather than showing the Wordpress interface

  • Merch, t-shirts, caps, stickers and notebooks for developers, they are the ambassadors and champions of the products. Often the ones to share Property Hive with their estate agent clients or agencies looking to develop a website with a need for the Property Hive tools.
